This is a superb 200 mile route from Green Bay to Death's Door at the very tip of Door County.  This ride has all the fun you would expect from a ride in Door County.  Don't plan on seeing McDonald's because it won't be there!  Once you cross the bridge at Sturgeon Bay, you are in some of the nicest cycling territory there is.     Many wonder why it's called "Door" County.  The area at the tip of the peninsula was a notorious ship wreck area in the 19th century with rocks and shallows as boats rounded it to get into Green Bay.  So many went down that it became known as "Death's Door" and the county was named after it.  You will pass views of several shipwreck sites as you gaze on Death's Door at about mile 100 before returning.  Try to give yourself enough time to stop in places like Egg Harbor and Fish Creek for a sandwich - but be aware there is no fast food to be found!

This is the 4th ride opportunity in our Midest III Crown.  It's also one of the nicest rides on the calendar this year.

You can choose to use our cheaper hotel block in Green Bay if you like.  Breakfast on Saturday and Dinner on Saturday night for the finish are included.  The room choice is a single one, but you can always bring a friend and share if you are comfortable doing so.

Other ride options are available as well!
