This is is loop around the Keweenaw Peninsula in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  It arguably passes by the best sights of the Iron Porcupine 1200k.   Miles of pedaling along Lake Superior, old mining towns and artifacts and the best view of Lake Superior and Isle Royale to be found at the top of Brockway Mountain Road are the highlights.

Challenging and fun 200k route with about 7,000 ft of climbing. Call the Paddlewheel early for reservations, camping is available across the river but there are few nearby hotels and it is Labor Day weekend. This route heads north through Freeport to Monroe, WI, does a tiny loop and returns the way it came. Super fun but watch your time! You have the option of doing a 300k the next day too!

    Social Gathering Before/After

This is a loop route from Evanston to Bull Valley on rolling roads. We are taking advantage of many paved bike trails for safety and because they are nice! Come to the finish and the second annual GLR Awards! You have to attend if you want your award.  Parking is free at Temperence Beer, park along the chain link fence as far to the south as possible.

This is an urban ride. Though you may be able to finish the route before sundown, our advice is to bring lights and reflective gear just in case you find yourself out after dark.
